ADMISSION NOTIFICATION (CAP) First Year of Post SSC Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology

Online applications are invited from the aspiring Maharashtra State candidates who have passed SSC examination or equivalent examination for admission to First Year of Three/Four year Post SSC Diploma courses in Engineering/Technology in Govt, Govt Aided and such unaided polytechnics/institutes and/or such number of seats from unaided institutes, which by mutual consent have decided to form part of this admission process of Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2011-12.

 Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in Best of 5 aggregate (minimum 45% marks in Best of 5 aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories valid and recognized in the Maharashtra State) with and in subjects Mathematics, General Science and English.

Note:- For State Board Candidates who have passed Mathematics (Code 71) and Science & Technology (Code 72) are only eligible for admission. In case of ICSE & CBSE boards, candidate passed with Science and Mathematics is eligible for admission.

 Availability of Information brochure and Application Kit and other details
Information Brochure and Application Kit will be available for sale at the cost of Rs. 400/- for
General Category candidates (Rs 300/- for reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Cash at all Application form Receipt Centres (ARCs) listed below. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

It is mandatory for the aspiring candidates to procure the Information Brochure and Application Kit from ARC. The Application Kit consists of Application ID and Password, by which the candidate shall be able to fill the Online Application Form.

Submission of the application form in response to this admission notification will amount to accepting the afore said rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.

Submission and Confirmation of online filled application form:-
All Candidates are required to fill the web based online application form on http://www.dte.org.in/poly2011  at ARC/ Cyber Cafe or any computer connected to internet and take printout of the “Online filled Application Form”.

The candidate should sign on the printout of online filled Application Form and attach the required attested copies of documents.

All Maharashtra State candidates should report in person to the ARC for confirmation along with attested true copies and original documents for verification. Applications submitted online and subsequently confirmed at ARCs will only be considered valid for further processing.

Candidates claiming admission against seats for N.C.C. shall submit their applications to “The Director of N.C.C.” Maharashtra State, A.F.I. Building, Bombay Hospital Lane, Near Metro Cinema, Mumbai - 400 020.

Candidates claiming admission against seats under centrally sponsored scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development of GoI for persons with disabilities shall apply directly to the Principal in response to the notification of the concerned Institute as mentioned in the information brochure.

Other than Maharashtra candidates (OMS) are not eligible for admission through CAP, such candidates shall contact to unaided institutes for admission to institute level seats.

The candidates are advised to report to the same ARC from where the form is purchased for various activities.

ARCs shall also provide facility to fill online application to the candidates free of cost and also provide required support for browsing of information such as merit list, allotment status etc.

There is possibility of new Unaided Diploma Institutes are likely to participate in CAP. List of such institutes will be displayed and updated on the Website http://www.dte.org.in/poly2011  and the detailed Institute’s information will be given to the candidate in the form of supplement free of cost at the time of filling of Option Form at ARC where he/she had confirmed his/her online application form.

Admission of NCC Candidates shall be done by counselling and detail admission schedule will be notified & displayed on website.(Refer Rule 1.5.7 & Annexure III of the Information Brochure)

Note:- All ARC’s shall remain open including all holidays falling under schedule. Similarly all institute’s offices shall remain open including all holidays for reporting between 10.00AM to 5.30PM.
