National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER) invites application for Ph.D course for following specializations for academic year 2012:

• Biological Sciences
• Chemical Sciences
• Physical Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences

Eligibility:
For Biological Sciences

• Candidate must have 60% in masters in any branches of Biology, Life Sciences and Bioinformatics or Students with masters in any branches of natural or computer science may also eligible

For Chemical Sciences

• Candidate must have 60% in M.Sc Or in an equivalent degree in Chemistry, Physics, Applied Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Sciences

For Physical Sciences

• Candidate must have 60% in M.Sc or in an equivalent degree in Engineering

For Mathematical Sciences

• Candidate must have 60% in M.Sc or in an equivalent degree in Mathematics

Selection Procedure:

• Selection of candidate is based performance in test / interview conducted by NISER.

How To Apply:

• Candidate can download the application form, from website or the link given below.
• The form can also be obtained by post or in person from the Academic Section, NISER Bhubaneswar (for postal address see below). In case of request by post, please enclose a self-addressed envelope (A4 size, 21cm X 30cm) affixed with postage stamps of Rs. 25/-.
• Candidates intending to apply for more than one program should use separate application forms for each program with appropriate enclosures.
• Fill the application form completely. Incomplete application form will be rejected. The application form can either be typed or hand-written.
• NISER does not demand any entrance fee from the candidates who apply for Ph.D program.
• Send only attested copies (By Gazette Officer) of all supporting documents (mark sheets, Certificates, age proof, caste certificate, etc.).
• Enclose two letters of reference. The copy of the reference letter is available in page 5-6 of this document.
• Send the filled-in application forms with all enclosures to the address mentioned below:
