Doon University, Dehradun invites application for following courses for academic year 2012 for it’s various schools given below:

School of Environmental & Natural Resources offers 3 courses:

• M.Sc Environmental Science (with specialization in Natural Resource Management)
• M.Sc Environmental Science (with specialization in Environmental Studies)
• Ph.D

School of communication offers 2 courses:

• MA in Communication
• Integrated MA in Communication

School of Management offers one course:

• MBA

School of Social Sciences two courses:

• Integrated M.Sc in Economics
• MA in Economics

School of Language offers one course:

• Integrated MA (Chinese, Spanish, German languages)

Eligibility:
M.Sc Environmental Science (with specialization in Natural Resource Management)

• Candidate must have Graduation Degree in Biological / Applied Sciences from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government rules)

M.Sc Environmental Science (with specialization in Environmental Studies)

• Candidate must have Graduation Degree in Basic / Applied Sciences from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government rules)

Ph.D

• Candidate must have Master’s Degree from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent OGPA in the relevant field

MA in Communication

• Candidate must have Graduation in any subject from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government rules)

Integrated MA in Communication

• Candidate must have 10+2 in any subject from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government rules)

MBA

• Candidate must have Graduation in any subject from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government rules)

Integrated M.Sc in Economics

• Candidate must have 10+2 in any subject from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government rules)

MA in Economics

• Candidate must have Graduation with at least 50% marks in Social Sciences / Commerce (45% for SC / ST and other categories as per state government rules) or 60% in any other discipline (55% for SC / ST and other categories as per State Government Rules) from a recognized university

Selection Procedure:

• Selection of candidate is based on Admission Test score conducted by University except MBA course.
• Selection of candidate for MBA course is based on MAT score and performance in GD / PI conducted by University.

How To Apply:

• Prospectus and application form can be obtained by post by submitting a Bank Draft of Rs. 650/- for general categories and Rs. 350/- for SC / ST candidates of Uttarakhand, payable at Dehradun in favor of Doon University Dehradun.
• The forms will also be available from the University office Kedarpur campus / Punjab National Bank, Ashley Hall branch, Dehradun on payment of Rs. 600/- or Rs. 300/- (for SC / ST of Uttarakhand) on cash payment. 
• Duly filled in application form be sent to The Coordinator of Admissions, Doon University, Kedarpur, PO Ajabpur, Dehradun.
• Prospectus 2012 / Application forms may also be downloaded from the website www.doonuniversity.ac.in/. The downloaded form must be accompanied with a bank draft of Rs. 600/- or Rs. 300/- (for SC / ST of Uttarakhand) in favor of Doon University, Payable at Dehradun.
