Annamalai University (AU) invites application for following medical courses for academic year 2012:

• MBBS
• BDS
• BPT
• B.Sc (Nursing)
• MPT
• M.Sc (Nursing)

Eligibility:
For MBBS / BDS
Candidate should have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) of Tamil Nadu with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually or an equivalent examination with minimum of 50% aggregate marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (for SC / ST candidate should have 40% aggregate marks)

For BPT
Candidate should have passed in H.Sc (Academic) with (Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany / Zoology) and English Examination or equivalent examinations accepted by the Annamalai University

For B.Sc (Mursing) / Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery Programme
Candidate should have passed HSC Exams (or) Senior School Certificate exams (10+2) (or) Pre-degree exams (10+2) (or) any equivalent with 12 yrs. schooling from a recognised Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE). For SC / ST: 40% of aggregate marks in PCBE. Unmarried Female Candidates only are Eligible

For M.Sc (Nursing)
Candidate must have passed B.Sc (Nursing) / B.Sc (Hons. Nursing) / Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks, (for SC / ST candidates minimum of 50% of marks of aggregate marks), candidate must have Minimum 1 year of work experience after Basic B.Sc (Nursing) or Minimum 1 year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing)

For MPT
Candidate must have passed BPT Degree of Annamalai University (or) a Degree of any other university recognized as equivalent thereto by this university

Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidate for MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc (Nursing) is based on common entrance test score conducted by university.

How To Apply:

• Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR-608002 from the date 02-Apr-2012 on payment of Rs. 1000/- for MBBS, BDS, MPT, M.Sc Nursing and Rs. 500/- for BPT, Rs. 750/- for B.Sc (Nursing) in person or by sending a Demand Draft obtained on or after 01-Apr-2012 drawn in favour of THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALAI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAINAGAR from ANY BANK, payable at CHENNAI along with self addressed stamped Thick Kraft envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm (stamps affixed to the value of Rs. 30/-) with the name of the programme for which the application is required should be superscribed boldly on the envelope.
• The Name of the programme should be clearly indicated in the requisition letter. The Name and Address of the Candidate and programme for which the application is made should be clearly indicated on the back side of the Demand Draft also.
• Issue Of Applications In The University Cash Counter: Only During Working Days.
