HPU Shimla Invites Applications for MCA Program

Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla invites application for 3 year fulltime Master of Computer Application (MCA) program Department of Computer Science, H.P. University for the commencing session 2012.

Eligibility Criteria for HPU Shimla:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India, with Mathematics at +2 levels

OR

• BCA/B. Sc. (IT)/ B. Sc. (Computer Science)/any graduate with computers as one of the subject in all the three years of graduation with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India.
• Maximum age limit for admission to MCA course is 26 years for general category, 29 years for SC/ST category and 28 years for girl candidates, as on the 1st July of the year concerned.

How to Apply for HPU Shimla

• Candidates are required to download the application form from HPU’s website: www.hpucs.ac.in/ or http://hpucs.ac.in/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Application_Form_for_MCA-20121.pdf
• Duly filled in application form, fee along with postage stamps of Rs.6/- affixed on it on the space provided must reach the Chairman, Department of Computer Science, H.P. University, Shimla-5 by the last date fixed for the purpose.
• The applicants are required to submit the fee in the form of a demand draft or IPO of Rs.650/- for general category and Rs.325/- for SC/ST/IRDP/ANTODAYA in favor of Chairman, Department of Computer Science, H.P. University, Shimla Payable at Shimla.
• The candidate should write his/her name and father’s name on the back of the demand draft as well as IPOs. The candidate should specifically mention in the application form that whether She/he is interested for Subsidized Seats or Non Subsidized Seats or both type of seats

Selection Procedure for HPU Shimla

• Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit in the entrance test to be conducted by H.P. University, Shimla.
