Himachal Pradesh University, University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) invites application for B.Tech (IT) course in two formats 1) Fresh Entry 2) Lateral Entry for academic year 2012.

UIIT Shimla is a premier institution of excellence in Science and Information Technology that develops professionals and leaders of high caliber imbued with values of entrepreneurship, ethics, and social responsibility. It is functioning under "the Executive Council" of the Himachal Pradesh University since year 2000. It admit students from all over the country to the Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology and imparts training to make them competent, motivated Engineers, Leader, Thinker, and Scientists. The academic program of UIIT is also approved by the All India Council of Technical education.

Eligibility:
For Fresh Entry in B.Tech (IT)

• Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Maths with 50% marks (45% for SC / ST)

For Lateral entry

• Candidate must have 60% marks in B.Sc with Maths & Physics or Diploma of 3 years (after Matric) form HP state Board of Technical Education only or equivalent in any branch

Selection Procedure:
For Fresh Entry

• Selection of candidate is based on Entrance Test score conducted by Himachal Pradesh University.

For Lateral Entry

• Selection of candidate is based on marks obtain in all three years of Diploma or B.Sc Degree with Maths & Physics

• The prospectus can be obtained from the office of Director (UIIT), HP University on payment of Rs. 1000/- (on counter) & Rs. 1100/- (by post) in the form of Bank Draft payable to UIIT, HP University, Shimla-171005
