Thapar University invites application for BE / B.Tech or BE / B.Tech (Lateral Entry) for academic year 2012, also invites application for first year second semester of BE / B.Tech programs.

Eligibility:
For BE / B.Tech

• Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC / ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science

For BE / B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• Candidate should have passed diploma, in relevant discipline, of minimum 3 years duration after matriculation
• Diploma, in relevant discipline, of minimum 2 years duration after 10+2 from Polytechnic College / Institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education / University, or recognized by UGC / AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC / ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point
• B.Sc (Nonmedical) from recognized University with 60% (55% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate

For first year second semester BE / B.Tech

• She / he should have been a student of BE / B.Tech programme of a recognized Institute / University and have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognized board and have secured at least 60% (55% for SC / ST candidates) marks in aggregate of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Computer science / Biology / Biotechnology

     Or

• TU students of B.Sc-M.Sc (Dual degree) program having minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC / ST) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Computer Science / Biology / Biotechnology at 10+2 level

Selection Procedure:
For BE / B.Tech

• Selection of candidate is based on AIEEE 2012 score

For BE / B.Tech (Lateral Entry)

• Selection of candidate is based on LEET TU 2012 conducted by Thapar University

For first year second semester of BE / B.Tech

• Selection of candidate is based on online entrance test score conducted by Thapar University

How To Apply:

• Candidate can fill the online application form available on website www.thapar.edu.
• Candidates should have to fill the complete details and then take the print out of the form and paste a recent passport size colored photograph.
• Candidate can pay the application fee in two ways By Online or By DD of required amount drawn in favour of Thapar University payable at Patiala.
• Application completed in all respects should reach the INCHARGE ADMISSION CELL, THAPAR UNIVERSITY, PATIALA-147004, on or before the last prescribed date of the respective programmes.
